What you will do
- Serve as an Electronics Technician on assigned projects, working independently or with a small team.
- Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain physical security systems at electrical substation facilities.
- Install electronic and technical security systems according to DoD/DoS guidelines and requirements.
- Read and interpret electrical/electronic/electro-mechanical schematics, building plans (blueprints), and installation wiring guidelines.
- Use test equipment (e.g., multimeters and cable testers) to troubleshoot and test security wiring & power circuits.
- Perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and testing for intrusion detection, access control, and related security systems.
Requirements
- US citizenship and ability to obtain and maintain a customer clearance (including local and national background checks).
- Current valid Driver’s License; role may require driving company vehicles.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, and servicing IDS and PACS, plus IP video surveillance and other security systems.
- Experience installing electronics/electrical systems including intrusion detection, access control, CCTV/security cameras, intercom, mass notification, and low-voltage/conduit installation.
- Working knowledge of National Electric Code (NEC) practices (grounding and electrical safety) and ability to read schematics/maintenance manuals.
- Ability to travel extensively (expected 75%+; 75–90% road warrior including weekends) and perform physical tasks (climb/stoop/kneel; lift up to 50 lbs).
