What you will do
- Define, achieve, and report Project Purchasing KPIs, including assurance of acquisition and project commitments.
- Mentor and coach project buyers located in Farmington Hills and Mexico, including performance reviews and goal setting.
- Ensure project objectives regarding timelines, quality, and target prices are achieved.
- Coordinate regional and global projects across different business regions.
- Provide critical feedback on supplier performance during the project phase to regional commodity buying.
- Manage the PDP process: RFQ process in Jaggaer, quotation analysis, TRM, and APQP/PPAP.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science in a technical discipline or a bachelor’s degree in business.
- 7+ years of experience in a purchasing, quality, or manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of mechanical refrigeration systems, automotive heating/air conditioning, and engine cooling.
- Understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and manufacturing processes (metal working, electronics assembly, molding).
- Must be authorized to work in the US without current or future sponsorship for employment-based visas.
