Location: Hybrid role in London (EC1Y 8LZ), 3 days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Write complex SQL queries to analyze transaction data and identify emerging fraud signals.
• Design, build, and deploy fraud detection rules from scratch based on data-driven thresholds.
• Own fraud systems end-to-end, from initial detection to monitoring and iteration.
• Analyze customer behavior across card and lending products to mitigate fraud risk.
• Contribute to long-term fraud strategy and future ML-based detection capabilities.

Requirements

• Strong background in data analysis within a fintech or digital lending environment.
• Advanced SQL proficiency, including CTEs and window functions.
• Proven experience owning analytical problems end-to-end through to deployment.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-moving, high-ownership team environment.
• Experience with high-volume, complex datasets.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in card fraud within a bank or card issuer.
• Familiarity with card fraud systems, 3DS/SCA, and PSD2 compliance.
• Experience with APP fraud or faster payment fraud systems.
