What you will do

• Own the DevOps and Platform roadmap, including automation and a multi-tenant Kubernetes-based Internal Developer Platform (IDP).
• Engineer and set standards for Kubernetes infrastructure, reviewing and enhancing platform components.
• Architect multi-cluster, multi-region Kubernetes environments using Istio/Linkerd, Cluster API, and Kyverno.
• Build GitOps progressive delivery frameworks (Flux/Flagger) for canary and automated releases.
• Implement Kubernetes-native provisioning (Crossplane/ACK) and enforce Zero Trust using Vault, Boundary, service identity, and mTLS meshes.
• Embed DevSecOps and reliability practices: policy-as-code (OPA/Kyverno), SAST/DAST, chaos engineering, and SLO/error-budget monitoring.

Requirements

• Experience leading or mentoring engineering teams while staying hands-on and setting technical direction.
• Strong Kubernetes expertise (cluster lifecycle management, API extensions, Operators, Helm) and familiarity with the CNCF ecosystem (e.g., Cilium, ExternalDNS, Kyverno, Gatekeeper).
• Experience designing and operating multi-cluster, multi-region Kubernetes platforms with service meshes (Istio/Consul/Linkerd) and policy-based workload placement.
• Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform on AWS or GCP, including modular design, GitOps integration, and automated testing (Terratest, InSpec).
• Experience implementing GitOps pipelines with ArgoCD or FluxCD for progressive delivery, drift correction, and multi-environment releases.
• Experience with platform security and CI/CD controls, including Vault-based secret management, least privilege, and security automation (SAST/DAST, policy enforcement).

Nice to have

• Experience with platform modernization or reliability initiatives in scale-up or regulated environments.
• Knowledge of eBPF/Cilium, operator/CRD automation, and policy-as-code for secure supply chain/CSPM frameworks.
• Exposure to AI-driven internal developer platforms, predictive observability, or agentic infrastructure for AI agents.
• Programming experience in Go, Python, or TypeScript.
• Contributions to open-source or CNCF community projects.
