What you will do

• Develop original, data-driven stories covering institutional investing and wealth management.
• Source, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets using journalistic and analytical techniques.
• Build compelling charts, graphics, and interactive visualizations to enhance storytelling.
• Identify trends and anomalies within datasets to uncover exclusive reporting opportunities.
• Collaborate with reporters and editors across FundFire and Financial Advisor IQ.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of data journalism capabilities within the team.

Requirements

• Must be based in New York or able to work from the NYC office.
• Demonstrated experience in data-driven journalism or business reporting.
• Strong proficiency in Python or R for data acquisition and analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Flourish, D3, or Adobe Illustrator.
• Ability to translate complex quantitative findings for non-technical audiences.
• Strong project management skills and experience working in time-sensitive newsroom environments.
