Focus on defining reference architectures, ensuring governance compliance, and translating technical capabilities into scalable platform offerings.

Location: Hybrid (partly remote, partly from the office in The Hague, Netherlands)

What you will do

• Define and evolve reference architectures for Databricks services including Unity Catalog, MosaicAI, and Serverless.
• Translate new Databricks features into enterprise-grade platform capabilities and provide guidance to implementation teams.
• Assess new services against architecture standards, security, and compliance requirements.
• Ensure platform services comply with identity and access management and data governance policies.
• Drive automation using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and CI/CD pipelines.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in Data Platform, Cloud, or Solution Architecture.
• Proven experience with Databricks platform in enterprise environments.
• Databricks Champion (Certified Architect) certification.
• Cloud experience with Azure and/or AWS.
• Strong knowledge of data governance, security and access control models, and large-scale data platform architectures.
• Must be available for a freelance assignment (36h/week) until 31-12-2026.

Nice to have

• Experience working in regulated environments, particularly financial services.
• Experience in a Center of Excellence or platform enablement function.
• Knowledge of AI/ML platforms and their governance.
