Lead Product Software Architect (AI & Data): Designing and modernizing the data estate and AI-ready product platform for cloud-based accounting software with an accent on scalability, governance, and production-grade AI/ML integration. Focus on building end-to-end architecture for predictive and generative AI features, establishing MLOps/LLMOps standards, and ensuring system reliability in a highly regulated domain.

Location: Hybrid (Hoevelaken, Netherlands). Candidates must be able to work from the office up to 2 days per week.

What you will do

• Architect end-to-end AI-enabled product capabilities including predictive ML, recommendations, and GenAI workflows.
• Modernize legacy data estates into governed, scalable architectures using lakehouse or data mesh patterns.
• Define and implement MLOps/LLMOps standards for feature stores, model registries, and drift monitoring.
• Ensure AI systems meet strict governance, privacy, security, and compliance requirements.
• Lead and mentor engineering teams, driving architectural decisions and technical excellence.
• Translate complex business requirements into robust, performant, and cost-optimized technical blueprints.

Requirements

• 8–12+ years of experience building complex software products, specifically SaaS or distributed systems.
• Proven track record of shipping AI/ML or GenAI features into production environments.
• Hands-on experience with modern data architecture, including data modeling, pipelines, and lineage.
• Strong understanding of DataOps/MLOps practices, CI/CD, and operational monitoring.
• Ability to design secure AI systems with focus on threat modeling and model supply chain controls.
• Excellent communication skills to influence stakeholders and provide architectural leadership.

Nice to have

• Experience with lakehouse or data mesh transformations at scale.
• Background in implementing strong data governance and catalog patterns.
