What you will do

• Produce compelling, well-framed stories on tax and regulatory issues with minimal editing.
• Break exclusive news by cultivating sources and conducting probing interviews.
• Leverage deep knowledge of federal and state legislative, regulatory, and judicial processes.
• Collaborate with multimedia and graphics teams while maintaining independent reporting workflows.
• Act as a subject-matter expert and mentor for junior reporters.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in English or journalism preferred.
• 7 years of experience in journalism, including at least one year reporting on legal, tax, or government topics.
• Proven track record of developing sources and breaking news.
