Salary: $93,000–$140,000 USD (based on compensation zone).

What you will do

  • Monitor breaking news and market data to identify and report on events moving equities and the broader economy.
  • Write punchy, accurate headlines and short-form content for the Robinhood app.
  • Develop long-form, data-driven analysis on sectors, equities, and macro trends.
  • Collaborate with editors and reporters to pitch, develop, and fact-check stories.
  • Execute experiments to reach and engage the audience through new strategic content initiatives.
  • Uphold editorial and ethics standards while ensuring a balance of perspectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a newsroom setting.
  • Proven experience covering markets news and reacting to breaking-news situations.
  • Deep familiarity with content management systems and data analytics tools.
  • Ability to break down complex financial concepts for a broad audience.
  • Must be able to work in-office at least 3 days per week in NY, IL, FL, or CO.
  • Ownership mentality with strong attention to detail and factual precision.
