What you will do

• Administer and maintain Unix/Linux systems within a production environment.
• Manage and monitor critical services, including web, email, and databases.
• Troubleshoot and resolve both hardware and software issues.
• Support datacenter operations, including installation, replacement, and configuration of equipment.
• Collaborate with the team to enhance infrastructure security, performance, and reliability.

Requirements

• Proven experience with Unix/Linux operating systems.
• Knowledge of MySQL DBMS and LAMP/LEMP stacks (including HTTP protocol).
• Understanding of email protocols and related services.
• Basic hardware knowledge (servers, networking, storage) for datacenter environments.
• Fundamentals of DNS and TCP/IP networking concepts.
• Proof of eligibility to work in Portugal is required.

Nice to have

• Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience with shared hosting panels such as cPanel and Plesk.
• Knowledge of backup systems (Veeam, Acronis, R1Soft, Proxmox Backup Server, JetBackup).
• Experience with configuration management tools like Puppet and Ansible.
• Proficiency in virtualization and containerization (KVM, LXC, Docker).
• Experience with monitoring tools (Zabbix, Prometheus, Grafana).
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
