TL;DR

Deputy Chief of Compliance (Fintech): Owning the compliance function across all geographies and product lines with an accent on regulatory agenda, licensing, and risk reduction. Focus on conducting full framework audits, managing regulator interactions, and scaling the compliance infrastructure for new markets.

Location: Remote, must be based in the EU (LV/EU timezone)

Compensation: Competitive salary plus bi-annual performance bonuses

What you will do

  • Deputise for the CCO across all geographic and product compliance lines.
  • Conduct a full audit of the compliance framework and implement a prioritised remediation plan.
  • Lead regulatory deliverables, including license applications and regulator interactions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership (CEO, CBDO, Legal) to align compliance with business goals.
  • Identify and mitigate material compliance risks across the organization.
  • Manage and mentor the internal compliance team.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of senior AML/compliance experience in regulated Crypto or FinTech.
  • Deep knowledge of EU AML/CFT frameworks (AMLD5/AMLR, MiCA, Travel Rule, TFR).
  • Proven experience building compliance programmes and risk appetite documentation.
  • Track record with regulatory authorisation projects and license applications.
  • Experience leading and mentoring compliance staff.
  • Must be based in the EU (LV/EU timezone)

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of DORA, PSD2, or financial crime risk advisory.
  • Experience with blockchain analytics tools (Chainalysis, Elliptic, TRM Labs).
  • CAMS, ICA, CGSS or equivalent professional certifications.
