What you will do

• Provide specialist technical support for complex network and cyber security deployments.
• Act as a key decision-maker during cyber incidents to ensure effective mitigation and response.
• Offer expert security advice and remediation guidance to business lines and external customers.
• Own integration testing for new products and services, including creating all necessary documentation.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to build innovative platforms while continuously developing skills.
• Safeguard sensitive customer information to maintain trust and reputation.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of security fundamentals and experience in 2nd line security operations.
• Proven ability in firewall and security platform troubleshooting using a methodical approach.
• Solid network fundamentals, including routing and IP.
• High operational discipline regarding ticketing, change management, and governance.
• UK residency for a minimum of 5 years (strictly required for SC level clearance).
• Effective technical communication skills and awareness of CI/CD practices.

Nice to have

• Experience with industry-leading platforms such as Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Cisco.
• Relevant certifications like CompTIA Network+ and/or Security+.
• CCNA certification or equivalent practical networking knowledge.
• Exposure to automation and scripting for scalable security operations.
