What you will do

• Conduct CDD and EDD on individual and corporate clients for licensed entities.
• Review and validate KYC/KYB documentation during onboarding and periodic risk reviews.
• Manage and disposition transaction monitoring and name screening alerts based on risk thresholds.
• Monitor and escalate suspicious or unusual activities for further investigation.
• Maintain accurate documentation of compliance decisions in line with internal procedures.
• Support regulatory inquiries, audits, and provide feedback on control improvements.

Requirements

• Must be based in Malaysia
• 2–4 years of experience in AML/compliance operations within cryptocurrency platforms, fintech, or financial institutions.
• Proven experience performing KYC/KYB reviews, transaction monitoring, or name screening.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills
• Ability to maintain clear and defensible documentation for investigations.

Nice to have

• Experience with blockchain analytics tools such as Chainalysis, TRM, or Elliptic.
• Foundational data capabilities, including basic SQL querying and working with structured datasets.
• Professional compliance certifications (e.g., ACAMS CAMS, CAFCA, CTMA, ICA).
• Proficiency in Mandarin.
