What you will do

• Build and maintain systems that handle cloud-scale volumes of telemetry data.
• Extend and maintain OpenTelemetry collectors, SDKs, and exporters.
• Design and improve telemetry pipelines and observability backends.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to implement instrumentation standards and "Golden Paths".
• Improve incident response and operational visibility through better telemetry coverage.
• Build tooling and libraries to improve developer productivity and platform observability.

Requirements

• Strong Python backend engineering experience.
• Experience working in Kubernetes and cloud-native environments.
• Interest or experience in observability, monitoring, or telemetry systems.
• Proficiency in building distributed systems and internal developer tooling.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
• Right to work in the UK is mandatory.
