TL;DR

Technical Support Engineer (Application Security): Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues in proprietary code and open source components with an accent on C++, Java, and Linux environments. Focus on solving critical security vulnerabilities (SAST, SCA, DAST) and collaborating with R&D to eliminate software defects.

Location: Japan

Salary: ¥4,000,000 - ¥7,000,000 JPY

What you will do

  • Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) and trusted advisor for strategic customers.
  • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues involving C/C++, C#, and Java via phone, email, and online meetings.
  • Collaborate with R&D to reproduce customer issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Create and disseminate technical knowledge internally and to the customer base.
  • Manage case queues and prioritize workloads in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in technical support or software development.
  • Proficiency in C/C++ and/or Java programming.
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Unix environments and shell scripting.
  • Experience with PostgreSQL or SQL databases.
  • Exceptional written and verbal English communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Proficiency in Japanese.
  • Experience with Kubernetes or Containerization.
  • Experience with Salesforce.com for case management.
  • Background in Application Security (AppSec), SAST, SCA, or DAST tools.
