TL;DR

Vice President, Trading Systems Developer (Java): Designing and building high-performance trading systems for market data ingestion and order routing with an accent on minimizing latency and maximizing throughput. Focus on optimizing the entire technology stack from the application layer through to OS and network hardware.

What you will do

  • Design and build high-performance trading systems for market data ingestion, order routing, and execution.
  • Provide cross-cutting technical solutions for OTC, Market Making, Prop, and Systematic Trading businesses.
  • Optimize multiple layers of the technology stack, from the application layer to OS, network layers, and hardware.
  • Own and resolve complex technical issues independently to ensure deterministic performance.
  • Champion and leverage AI tools to enhance team productivity and business outcomes.

Requirements

  • Excellent core Java skills with extensive experience in Application and Garbage Collection optimization.
  • Exceptional knowledge of concurrency and multithreaded programming.
  • Proven experience developing low-latency pricing and trading systems.
  • Knowledge of low-latency messaging such as Aeron or 29West.
  • Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/UDP, multicast) and kernel bypass technologies like DPDK, Solarflare/OpenOnload, or RDMA.
  • Familiarity with Linux internals, including scheduling, memory management, and performance tuning.

Nice to have

  • eFX development experience in low-latency, zero GC environments.
  • Knowledge of institutional encodings such as FIX and SBE.
  • Experience with fault-tolerant, high-availability distributed computing.
  • Proficiency with Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS.
