What you will do

• Design and architect cloud-native systems, services, and features to increase automation and ensure system integrity.
• Build and enhance reporting, statements, and login/entitlements management systems and processes.
• Collaborate directly with product, operations, and compliance stakeholders to define requirements and drive delivery.
• Coordinate with other engineering teams to support platform functionality including trading, lending, staking, and settlement.
• Own projects end-to-end, from scoping and planning through to production and support.
• Leverage generative AI and automation platforms to improve productivity and output quality.

Requirements

• 7+ years of professional software development experience.
• Expert-level engineering skills in Java (primary), Scala, Kotlin, or C#.
• Strong knowledge of SQL, databases, and object-oriented programming fundamentals.
• Proven track record in software design and the full SDLC of commercial systems.
• Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities with minimal oversight.
• Must be based in or able to work hybridly in New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar messaging systems.
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Background in finance, fintech, or technical understanding of crypto and digital assets.
• Familiarity with reactive frameworks (e.g., Vert.x) and event-driven architectures.
• Experience with Databricks.
