What you will do

• Validate time-sensitive blockchain signals and move high-confidence matters through the escalation workflow.
• Trace victim funds end-to-end by linking consolidating wallets forward and tracing back to originating platforms.
• Own the recovery side after a freeze by running backtraces that tie frozen funds to specific victims and drive restitution documentation.
• Support time-sensitive asset-preservation workflows involving regulated platforms and ecosystem partners.
• Use AI tools to synthesize returns, draft outputs, and accelerate investigative analysis.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of cryptocurrency investigations or asset-recovery experience (e.g., law enforcement crypto units, blockchain analytics, exchange compliance investigations).
• Required: blockchain/cryptocurrency tracing skills, including forward-then-backward trace, exchange attribution, co-mingling handling, multi-hop VASP tracing, and LIFO/FIFO backtrace for recovery work.
• Required: AI fluency—use AI tools in the workflow to synthesize results, draft outputs, and accelerate analysis (with examples of impact).
• Experience producing investigative packages that support formal legal, compliance, or enforcement workflows.
• Ability to operate without a checklist: determine the first move on unfamiliar cases and continue when the playbook stops.
• Location/citizenship/clearance: US Citizenship required for NA seats; ability to obtain Public Trust clearance; US-based.
