What you will do

• Design and develop real-time machine control software for industrial 3D printing systems.
• Build robust multithreaded applications in modern C++ for motion control and machine orchestration.
• Develop operator-facing GUI applications for machine monitoring, diagnostics, and control.
• Create simulation and modeling tools to validate machine behavior and optimize reliability.
• Design calibration routines and automated maintenance workflows to maximize uptime.
• Collaborate with controls, electrical, and mechanical engineers to integrate software with mechatronic systems.

Requirements

• Ability to lawfully access information and technology subject to U.S. export controls.
• Must be based in or authorized to work onsite in Torrance, California.
• Strong proficiency in modern C++ (C++11 or newer).
• Experience developing multithreaded and/or real-time software applications.
• Proficiency with Git and build systems like CMake.
• Strong systems-level thinking and debugging skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Qt for GUI applications.
• Familiarity with OpenCV or computer vision frameworks.
• Proficiency in Python for scripting and automation.
• Background in industrial automation, robotics, or control systems.
• Knowledge of DSP, MATLAB, Simulink, or Simscape.
