TL;DR

Salary: $110,000 - $140,000 USD

What you will do

  • Develop and maintain software for flashing, testing, and calibrating hardware products during production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software-related issues on the manufacturing line to minimize downtime.
  • Create scripts and tools to automate testing and data collection for quality control.
  • Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to assembly processes.
  • Collaborate with hardware teams to validate software functionality during new product introduction (NPI).
  • Lead PFMEAs, participate in safety review activities, and mentor junior engineers on best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electromechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in a manufacturing or software engineering capacity.
  • Proficiency writing embedded code in C/C++.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and use oscilloscopes and logic analyzers to debug embedded software.
  • Proficiency with 3D CAD software and rapid prototyping/3D printing technologies.
  • Must be based in or able to work onsite in Ann Arbor, MI.

Nice to have

  • Master’s Degree in Engineering.
  • Knowledge of Sensor or Automotive ECU configuration and ADAS systems.
  • Experience developing for bare metal, RTOS, and/or Linux operating system environments.
  • Experience implementing hardware device drivers and communication protocols such as UART, SPI, I2C, and CAN.
