Описание вакансии
TL;DR
Senior Smart Contract Engineer (Web3): Own the design and implementation of new on-chain primitives across Ethereum and Solana, driving the full audit-to-mainnet lifecycle with an accent on security, testing standards, and institutional-grade custody/compliance constraints. Focus on building staking, vault, and redemption mechanisms, enforcing engineering bar for live contracts, and using AI tools responsibly to improve productivity without introducing smart-contract liabilities.
Company
Galaxy is a global digital assets and data center infrastructure company building institutional-grade products at the intersection of finance and AI.
What you will do
- Design and implement on-chain primitives across Ethereum and Solana, including staking flows, validator orchestration, vault strategies, and exit/redemption mechanisms with institutional custody integrations.
- Run the end-to-end audit lifecycle: scope work, engage audit firms, triage findings, implement remediations, and shepherd code to mainnet deployment.
- Set and enforce engineering standards for testing, reviews, deployment runbooks, incident response, and on-call rotations for live contracts.
- Translate enterprise-grade requirements (custody, compliance, settlement, operational controls) into on-chain designs that withstand scrutiny from regulated counterparties.
- Mentor smart contract engineers and contribute to hiring, code review culture, and career development.
- Represent on-chain work externally with auditors, institutional clients, governance forums, and Ethereum/Solana ecosystems; champion thoughtful AI adoption and use AI tools to improve output quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional software engineering experience, including 4+ years writing production smart contracts deployed at meaningful TVL across both Ethereum (Solidity) and Solana (Rust/Anchor).
- Deep expertise in EVM internals, gas optimization, and proxy/upgradeability patterns (UUPS, Transparent, Beacon), plus working knowledge of Solana program development, account models, and PDA design.
- Track record of shipping contracts that cleared rigorous third-party audits (e.g., Trail of Bits, OpenZeppelin, Certora, Spearbit, Neodyme, OtterSec or equivalent) and familiarity with formal verification tooling (e.g., Certora Prover, Halmos, Kontrol).
- Strong testing discipline using modern toolchains: Foundry/Hardhat/Slither/Echidna (EVM) and Anchor/Solana program test frameworks/fuzzing tools (Solana), including invariant and fuzz testing.
- Hands-on experience across institutional on-chain domains such as liquid staking, validator economics and slashing, tokenized vault/ERC-4626 architectures, custody integrations, or settlement/redemption flows.
- Security-first mindset and strong written communication to explain risks (e.g., reentrancy, oracle staleness, account validation) to engineers, auditors, product, and enterprise counterparties.
Culture & Benefits
- Hybrid/flexible working arrangements.
- Flexible paid time off.
- 3% 401(k) company contribution.
- Company-paid health and protective benefits for employees and dependents, plus generous paid parental leave.
- Free coaching and counseling sessions through Headspace.
- Opportunities to learn about the crypto industry and access to employee resource groups.
Hiring process
- Application review followed by interviews focused on smart contract engineering depth, security/audit experience, and communication.
- Technical evaluation of on-chain design, testing, and audit/remediation judgment.
