What you will do

• Conduct cutting-edge research into market structure, protocol mechanics, and incentive design.
• Analyze user behavior and product performance to identify growth opportunities and inform product decisions.
• Own and enhance data infrastructure by optimizing systems and building pipelines for research reproducibility.
• Define key metrics for protocol health and trader behavior.
• Develop educational content and external thought leadership to engage the global DeFi community.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Growth teams to translate research findings into technical implementations.

Requirements

• Degree in a quantitative field such as Math, Computer Science, Physics, Statistics, or Economics.
• 4+ years of professional experience in a technical role (Quant, Data Scientist, or Developer).
• 2+ years of experience working with blockchain or order book data (e.g., indexing blocks, Dune).
• Proficiency with data visualization tools for communicating complex findings.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in New York, NY.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of HFT, derivatives, and market structure.
• Deep passion for DeFi and Web3 with a documented track record.
• Experience with SQL, Python, Pandas, xarray, Mode, Amplitude, or BigQuery.
• An existing personal research or content brand.
