What you will do

• Develop and maintain mission control software systems used in operational space environments.
• Analyze operational needs from space mission stakeholders and translate them into clear software requirements.
• Apply object-oriented programming principles (C++ or Java) within a mission-critical context.
• Collaborate with international teams and customers to support various space missions.
• Contribute to the evolution of system architectures across multiple projects.

Requirements

• Strong experience in C++ and/or Java development.
• Hands-on experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
• Proficiency in software bug analysis, debugging, and issue resolution.
• Familiarity with SCOS-based Mission Control Systems (MCS).
• Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
• Must be based in or be able to relocate to Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with EGS-CC and/or Pulse Mission Control frameworks.
• Knowledge of Eclipse RCP-based development environments.
• Familiarity with UML for software design and system modeling.
