What you will do
- Develop and maintain mission control software systems used in operational space environments.
- Analyze operational needs from space mission stakeholders and translate them into clear software requirements.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles (C++ or Java) within a mission-critical context.
- Collaborate with international teams and customers to support various space missions.
- Contribute to the evolution of system architectures across multiple projects.
Requirements
- Strong experience in C++ and/or Java development.
- Hands-on experience working in Unix/Linux environments.
- Proficiency in software bug analysis, debugging, and issue resolution.
- Familiarity with SCOS-based Mission Control Systems (MCS).
- Experience with GitLab CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.
- Must be based in or be able to relocate to Germany.
Nice to have
- Experience with EGS-CC and/or Pulse Mission Control frameworks.
- Knowledge of Eclipse RCP-based development environments.
- Familiarity with UML for software design and system modeling.
