What you will do
- Establish and maintain workflows for modular kit assembly, level streaming, LOD generation, and asset optimization.
- Develop Editor Utility Widgets, Blueprints, and Python scripts to increase world-building efficiency.
- Author and manage world-building shaders, terrain blending materials, and procedural surface layering systems.
- Enforce technical budgets for polycount, draw calls, texture memory, and streaming thresholds.
- Integrate Unreal's Procedural Content Generation (PCG) framework into production pipelines.
- Profile and debug environment performance using Unreal Insights and RenderDoc to resolve bottlenecks.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of professional experience as a Technical Artist in AAA games or interactive media.
- Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine 5, including World Partition, Nanite, Lumen, and PCG.
- Strong proficiency in Python and Blueprint scripting.
- Experience using Houdini for procedural asset and scatter tooling.
- Deep understanding of PBR workflows, texture compression, and LOD pipelines.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States.
