What you will do

• Develop and maintain advanced distributed ML architectures, pipelines, and infrastructure for real-time predictive analytics.
• Integrate and evaluate ML frameworks while balancing performance and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Software Development, QA, and Product Management to ensure successful model integration.
• Establish quality controls and ethical standards for PII and IP protection.
• Mentor junior engineers and scientists to foster technical growth.

Requirements

• M.S. or Ph.D. in computer science, engineering, physics, or a related field.
• Proven industry experience in analytic software, data engineering, or machine learning.
• Strong competency in at least two programming languages: C, C++, Java, or Python.
• Experience with distributed computing platforms, SQL, NoSQL databases, and Linux environments.
• Solid understanding of software design principles, agile development, and CI/CD practices.
• Ability to work onsite in San Diego, CA.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Background in fintech, insurance, or other regulated domains.
• Familiarity with AI governance, model explainability, and audit-readiness.
