Senior DevOps Developer (Automotive): Building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native systems for virtual validation of embedded software with an accent on automation, container orchestration, and GitOps workflows. Location: Hybrid (Markham or Oshawa, Ontario). Must be able to report to the Markham Elevation Centre (MEC) at least three times per week.

Salary: $115,000–$164,600

What you will do

• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for virtual ECUs and simulation artifacts.
• Automate build, test, and packaging workflows across C++, Python, and model-based toolchains.
• Operate containerized simulation environments using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Implement GitOps workflows to ensure multi-cluster consistency and reliability.
• Optimize developer velocity through artifact reuse and workflow simplification.
• Integrate observability into pipelines for improved traceability and debugging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in DevOps, CI/CD, or software development.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or GitLab.
• Strong scripting proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Familiarity with embedded or model-based development (MATLAB/Simulink).

Nice to have

• Expertise in Terraform or Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
• Experience with SIL/HIL pipelines and co-simulation frameworks.
• Knowledge of secure supply chain practices (SLSA, OPA, Sigstore).
• Understanding of automotive data flows and progressive delivery strategies.
