What you will do

• Own the localization strategy, quality bar, and final sign-off for all Italian content.
• Review and edit in-game text, UI, scripts, and VO for cultural relevance and fluency.
• Develop and enforce glossaries, style guides, and cultural content policies.
• Lead VO casting, script review, and direct creative sessions during dubbing production.
• Serve as the primary linguistic escalation point for Italian-related bugs and tone disputes.
• Collaborate with producers, QA, and marketing to guide language decisions and alignment.

Requirements

• Professional localization experience in games, tech, or entertainment.
• Native fluency in Italian with mastery of regional nuance.
• Advanced English fluency (C1+) for cross-functional communication.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex language projects.
• Strong knowledge of platform-holder guidelines and brand alignment.
• Experience overseeing or mentoring junior linguists and vendors.

Nice to have

• Experience with VO scripting and linguistic performance direction.
• Bachelor's degree in translation, linguistics, or related field.
• Familiarity with CAT tools, XLOC, JIRA, and CMS.
