TL;DR
Director, R&D Finance (SaaS): Managing financial planning and analysis for Channel and Engagement Experiences Product teams with an accent on product investment prioritization and R&D portfolio optimization. Focus on driving financial rigor, conducting ROI analysis for new product launches, and developing long-range planning frameworks.
Location: Remote (US). Not eligible to be hired in CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, and WA.
Salary: $171,200 – $251,600

What you will do
- Establish ROI analysis standards and lead business case development for new product launches and feature investments.
- Translate long-term product strategy into sustainable financial frameworks for Long-Range Planning (LRP) scenarios.
- Partner with R&D leadership to assess product performance and evaluate roadmap investments.
- Provide strategic financial insights to guide investment decisions and optimize resource allocation across the product portfolio.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of 3 to 4 financial analysts.
- Oversee the development of flexible financial models to support scenario planning and M&A opportunities.
Requirements
- 12+ years of FP&A experience in progressive financial roles.
- Strong financial modeling skills, including product forecasts (revenue & COGS) and pricing impacts.
- Experience evaluating product business cases, customer adoption trends, and unit economics.
- Proficiency in Anaplan and comfort working with large datasets.
- Excellent communication skills with experience working with Senior Leadership (VP+).
- Must be based in the US (excluding restricted states).
Nice to have
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field.
- Familiarity with API/platform monetization models and usage-based revenue structures.
