What you will do

• Lead the architecture and hands-on engineering of new product data platforms including ingestion, processing, and real-time delivery.
• Build and ship production-grade software using modern engineering practices with an AI-first development workflow.
• Design and orchestrate complex distributed systems where AI agents integrate into human workflows.
• Develop fault-tolerant, event-driven architectures capable of operating reliably at scale.
• Mentor senior engineers and technical leads through design reviews and coaching.
• Communicate complex technical decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

• Must be based in Norway.
• 15+ years of professional software engineering experience with significant architecture responsibility.
• Expert-level programming skills in Java or a comparable production-grade backend language.
• Deep experience in Linux systems engineering, performance tuning, and database concepts.
• Demonstrated AI-first approach to engineering using tools like Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or Cursor.
• Strong background in distributed systems, data platforms, or large-scale backend infrastructure.

Nice to have

• Experience building data platforms from the ground up or modernizing legacy systems.
• Background in machine learning platforms, Generative AI, or cloud-native infrastructure.
• Experience with Kubernetes, streaming systems, or distributed processing frameworks.
