What you will do
- Translate decision support and reporting requirements into applications and tools that enable effective business decisions.
- Develop and maintain complex programs using 4GL and database technologies (e.g., SAS, R, SQL; DB2, Teradata, Oracle).
- Model data sources and flows and work with data management staff to define operational, policy, and security frameworks.
- Analyze raw data and statistical results, identify follow-up actions, and prepare written reports and presentations for stakeholders.
- Drive implementation of recommended analytical solutions and define study issues, methods, and technical approaches.
- Mentor colleagues on both technical and business aspects of project and consultative work.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant progressive experience in Industrial Engineering or Operations Research (or related field).
- Experience as a Decision Support Analyst (or equivalent) in a business or clinical environment with responsibility for applying technology.
- Strong skills working with large and complex databases and mainframe/PC/Internet-based technologies.
- Strong reporting and office tool skills (e.g., Microsoft Office, Business Objects, Cognos, Enterprise Guide).
- Comfort presenting findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Compliance with HIPAA and company data security and privacy policies.
