What you will do

• Conduct applied research on predictive signal analysis algorithms to improve patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, software engineers, and data scientists to define requirements and develop fieldable solutions.
• Design system architectures for training, testing, and deploying machine learning models.
• Manage research and development projects, including scope, resources, and scheduling.
• Act as a technical advisor to the R&D organization and promote best practices.
• Stay current with industry research by studying published work and attending conferences.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in computer engineering, computer science, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 8 years of practical research and development experience.
• Practical experience with machine learning or digital signal processing.
• Experience with cloud computing, distributed data processing, and big data analysis.
• Proficiency in object-oriented and scripting languages, preferably Python.
• Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.

Nice to have

• M.S. or PhD degree.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers.
• Familiarity with both waterfall and agile project management methodologies.
