What you will do

• Act as the Designated Person (DP) for the 503A pharmacy to ensure regulatory and USP compliance.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with USP <797> and <800>, state board requirements, and internal policies.
• Design and maintain a sterile compounding self-inspection program for continuous quality improvement.
• Oversee aseptic techniques, environmental controls, and cleaning processes in partnership with Quality.
• Review and approve sterile compounding SOPs and documentation to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Prepare for and support state board inspections, internal audits, and third-party assessments.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work on-site in New Albany, Ohio.
• Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school and an active, unrestricted Pharmacist license in the state of practice.
• Minimum 2 years of sterile compounding experience.
• Strong working knowledge of USP <797>, <800>, and 503A pharmacy regulations.
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain reciprocal licenses in other states.
• Willingness to travel.

Nice to have

• Prior experience serving as a Designated Person (DP).
• Board Certified Sterile Compounding Pharmacist (BCSCP) certification.
• Experience in pharmacy accreditation programs (VPP, ACHC, PCAB).
• Background in high-growth or regulated healthcare environments.
