What you will do

• Design, build, and scale distributed backend systems serving millions of users.
• Drive end-to-end delivery of features from design and implementation to deployment and monitoring.
• Architect real-time, low-latency APIs for large-scale data-ingestion.
• Develop cloud-native services in Java, ensuring reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Work on infrastructure components including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes/ECS.
• Collaborate with product managers and infrastructure engineers to deliver production-ready systems.

Requirements

• BSc/BEng or Master in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 5+ years of professional backend engineering experience.
• Proficiency in Java (17+).
• Experience with distributed data systems (Redis, Apache Kafka, SQL databases).
• Proven track record of designing and scaling systems for millions of users or high-throughput services.
• Solid understanding of AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes/ECS.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of Java frameworks such as Micronaut or Spring.
• Experience in performance tuning and scaling in high-throughput environments.
• Familiarity with GitOps, CI/CD, and IaC.
