TL;DR

Head of Prudential Risk (Fintech): Leading the planning and production of key prudential deliverables and managing financial risk within the group's appetite with an accent on ICAAP, recovery, and resolution planning. Focus on implementing regulatory changes, overseeing capital planning, and leading a high-performing finance team.

Location: Remote (UK), London or Cardiff. Distributed working within the UK is available with ad hoc meetings in London.

Salary: £121,000 - 140,000 + incentive awards

What you will do

  • Own the annual group ICAAP process, ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements.
  • Manage the annual review of the recovery plan and conduct fire drills to test response capabilities.
  • Implement the Group’s resolution strategy and ensure compliance with the Resolution Assessment Framework (RAF).
  • Lead ALCO reporting, KRI maintenance, and support capital planning and risk appetite setting.
  • Assess the impact of future prudential regulatory changes and adapt the bank's strategy.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of finance professionals.

Requirements

  • Must be based in the UK.
  • Proven prudential regulatory experience at a bank, consultancy, or regulatory body.
  • Relevant professional qualification.
  • Detailed knowledge of ICAAP, recovery, and resolution planning.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulations and perform financial projections and risk quantification.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
