Thermal Engineer (Aerospace): Developing and analyzing thermal control systems, models, specifications, and hardware for spacecraft missions from proposal preparation through launch campaigns with an accent on thermal subsystem design, modelling, testing, and supplier coordination. Focus on correlating thermal models with test data, preparing technical documentation, and presenting results during reviews with international partners such as the ESA.
Location: Onsite in Brno, Czech Republic; candidates should primarily be based in the EU or already eligible to work in the EU.

What you will do
- Support aerospace projects from proposal preparation through design, development, testing, and launch campaigns.
- Analyze thermal subsystem requirements and create and maintain thermal specifications.
- Develop and maintain GMM and TMM models and perform spacecraft thermal control system analyses using simulation tools such as ESATAN.
- Design thermal control systems and define thermal hardware components in coordination with suppliers.
- Prepare test campaign input data, process results, correlate models, and participate in thermal testing.
- Prepare technical documentation, present results, and participate in technical reviews with international partners including the ESA.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, thermal engineering, or a comparable field.
- Initial to mid-level experience in thermal engineering within aerospace or a similar industry.
- Knowledge of spacecraft thermal design, thermal control systems, requirements analysis, and thermal subsystem specifications.
- Familiarity with thermal modelling using TMM and GMM, simulation tools such as ESATAN, thermal analysis, and testing.
- Understanding of system engineering processes, technical reviews, thermal hardware components, and basic supplier coordination.
- Fluent spoken and written English is required. Strong communication, presentation, analytical, structured, and interdisciplinary teamwork skills are expected.
