GNC Engineer (M/F) (Aerospace)

Location: hirify.global France in Toulouse with hybrid working, up to 2 remote days per week. Eligibility and registration to work within Europe are required.

What you will do

• Analyse, design, implement, validate, and maintain GNC algorithms for rendezvous and proximity operations.
• Support GNC software architecture, configuration management, technical integrity, and state-of-the-art algorithm research.
• Develop, maintain, and validate GNC simulator architectures, models, simulation strategies, and verification approaches.
• Contribute to GNC hardware architecture, sensor research, and hardware trade-off analyses.
• Plan and execute subsystem verification and validation campaigns, including hardware-in-the-loop and system-level testing.
• Support technical reviews, anomaly investigations, embedded GNC software verification, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in aerospace engineering or another relevant engineering or science discipline.
• Strong experience designing, modelling, and testing GNC algorithms, including navigation filters, guidance strategies, or controllers.
• Knowledge and experience of GNC rendezvous, optimization algorithms, control synthesis, and control analysis.
• Experience with aerospace analysis and simulation tools, including Python, and with version control systems such as Git or SVN.
• Fluent French and English are required.
• Eligibility and registration to work within Europe are required.

Nice to have

• C/C++ software development skills.
• Embedded software development and deployment in real-time systems.
• Systems engineering experience, including requirements management, verification, validation, and traceability.
• Knowledge of advanced GNC technologies and hardware for rendezvous and proximity operations.
• Experience testing and verifying integrated GNC subsystems, including hardware-in-the-loop testing.
