What you will do

• Lead and grow the maritime software engineering team through hiring and mentorship.
• Take technical ownership of software design and integration within the Minerva ecosystem.
• Develop core C++ architecture for autonomy, control, and communication subsystems.
• Establish engineering standards, interfaces, and best practices for code quality.
• Collaborate with hardware and systems engineers to ensure seamless platform integration.
• Build and manage robust delivery pipelines for edge-to-front-line applications.

Requirements

• Must be based in the UK
• Must be security-cleared or eligible for UK/EU defence-level clearance
• Extensive hands-on experience in modern C++
• Proven experience leading technical teams or readiness to transition into a lead role
• Background in real-time, embedded, or safety-critical systems (e.g., Automotive, Aerospace, Defence)
• Familiarity with autonomous control systems and hardware-software integration
