What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of Cloud and Application Security Engineers.
• Design and implement security controls across multi-cloud environments including AWS, Azure, and GCP.
• Partner with engineering teams to embed security into the SDLC through threat modeling and architecture reviews.
• Manage and tune security tooling such as SonarQube, Dependency Track, and automated CI/CD security pipelines.
• Define and enforce identity and access management best practices and least privilege policies.
• Develop metrics and risk narratives to communicate security posture to business owners and leadership.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US
• 5+ years of experience in cybersecurity and securing AWS environments.
• 5+ years of experience securing cloud-native systems and modern software delivery pipelines.
• Proven experience leading or serving as a technical lead for security engineering teams.
• Proficiency in AWS security services, Terraform, GitLab, and CI/CD security practices.
• Deep knowledge of compliance standards including SOC 2, GDPR, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, and NIST.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical risks to non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to have

• AWS Certified Security – Specialty certification.
• CISSP or other relevant security certifications.
• Experience in high-growth SaaS or cybersecurity companies.
