Junior Functional Safety Engineer (Oil & Gas)

What you will do

• Support Functional Safety Engineering activities throughout the project lifecycle, including safety studies (HAZOP, SIL Assessment, LOPA).
• Participate in the preparation of Safety Requirement Specifications (SRS) and technical reports.
• Assist in the design and review of Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS), Emergency Shutdown Systems (ESD), and Fire & Gas Systems (FGS).
• Review engineering drawings, including P&IDs, Cause & Effect Charts, and Logic Diagrams.
• Coordinate with Process, Instrumentation, Electrical, Mechanical, and Project teams.
• Assist in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and commissioning activities.

Requirements

• UAE National (Family Book required)
• Bachelor's Degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, Electronics, Control & Automation, Chemical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Fresh Graduate or up to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and good report-writing skills.

Nice to have

• Minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 or equivalent.
• Academic knowledge of IEC 61508 and IEC 61511 standards.
