Design Technician - Site Design/Municipal (Civil Engineering)

Location: Grand Island, Nebraska, or Kearney, Nebraska; work may take place on project sites in various terrain and weather conditions.

What you will do

• Prepare planning and construction design documents for mixed-use, commercial, residential, industrial, sports, school, and other site development projects.
• Perform computer-aided design tasks, including annotation, red-line corrections, plan publishing, and drafting.
• Use design software to create plans and incorporate project information into design models.
• Gather data, maintain project files, prepare drawing copies, and document design changes.
• Add content to production sheets, including dimension and layout plans, title sheets, and detail sheets.
• Attend client meetings, support construction observation, and provide direction to less experienced staff when needed.

Requirements

• Associate degree in drafting.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently under supervisor or project manager guidance.
• Ability to work on project sites in varied terrain and weather conditions.

Nice to have

• Prior drafting experience.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.
