Design Technician - Site Design (Civil 3D)

Location: North Kansas City, Missouri, or Overland Park, Kansas, United States; travel to job sites and fieldwork in varied terrain and weather conditions.

What you will do

• Collaborate with project teams to produce engineering designs for site development projects.
• Use Civil 3D and CAD software to design and lay out complex engineering drawings.
• Prepare engineering and survey drawings from rough sketches and general design information.
• Gather project data, maintain computer files, prepare drawing copies, and document design changes.
• Attend client meetings and prepare project cost estimates.
• Travel to job sites for observation and perform fieldwork in varied terrain and weather conditions.

Requirements

• Associate degree.
• At least 1 year of Civil 3D CAD software experience.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.
• Ability to follow established engineering standards and procedures.
• Willingness to perform job-site travel and fieldwork.
