CAD Designer (Civil 3D)

Location: Frisco, Texas, United States; hybrid schedule with up to 40% remote work.

What you will do

• Prepare detailed BIM/CAD drawings and layouts for linear utilities, pump stations, and water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Review project requirements, scope, and deliverables to support design decisions and provide conceptual input.
• Perform design work using fundamental engineering concepts with minimal direction.
• Coordinate with engineers, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary design teams.
• Conduct BIM/CAD quality control and maintain drawing files according to company standards.
• Support CAD standards, user coordination, and adoption of new technologies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 8+ years of experience in engineering design and technical support using BIM/CAD software.
• Advanced expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D, including alignments, pressure pipe networks, gravity pipe networks, surfaces, and data management.
• Ability to learn, adapt, solve problems, and produce accurate, high-quality deliverables.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with personnel at all levels.

Nice to have

• Associate degree in BIM/CAD or Design/Drafting Technology.
• 10+ years of Autodesk Civil 3D experience, including pipeline design.
• Experience translating data between GIS shapefiles, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Revit, and MicroStation.
