What you will do

• Review and interpret tender documentation, architectural drawings, and specifications for Australian landscape projects.
• Perform detailed quantity take-offs and calculate costs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
• Estimate comprehensive costs for softscape and hardscape works, including irrigation, paving, and earthworks.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate competitive quotes and maintain vendor databases.
• Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and structural cost breakdowns.
• Collaborate with project managers to clarify constraints and assist with project variations and change orders.

Requirements

• Proven professional experience as a Construction Estimator in landscaping, civil works, or external trades.
• Strong knowledge of the Australian construction market, terminology, and measurement standards.
• Mastery in reading and scaling construction drawings and technical specifications.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week during Queensland, Australia business hours.

Nice to have

• Experience with estimating software such as Buildxact, CostX, Bluebeam, Groundplan, or Cubit.
• Knowledge of Australian landscaping regulations, local building codes, and compliance frameworks.
