Cost Controller (Energy)

What you will do

• Establish and maintain project cost baselines, budget breakdowns, and control estimates.
• Monitor committed costs, actual expenditures, and forecasts across Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning (EPCC) phases.
• Perform variance analysis, investigate cost deviations, and recommend corrective actions.
• Prepare weekly and monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and Earned Value Management (EVM) reports.
• Administer the project budget through formal change management, assessing the cost impact of scope changes and delays.
• Coordinate with Finance and Planning teams to integrate cost and schedule data and ensure CAPEX compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field.
• 5-10 years of experience in cost control, project controls, or project accounting.
• Minimum 3 years of experience supporting power, energy, utility, or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience with large capital projects, preferably exceeding $100 million.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including financial models and dashboard development.
• Experience with ERP systems, with NetSuite experience preferred.
