Associate Designer (UI/UX)

TL;DR

Associate Designer (UI/UX): Contributing to the development of creative concepts and digital assets for websites and online channels with an accent on visual design, interactivity, and brand alignment. Focus on supporting project teams, maintaining design consistency, and participating in a junior talent development program.

Location: Must be based in Calgary and able to work from the office a minimum of 3 days a week.

What you will do

• Design solutions that meet strategic objectives under the guidance of a mentor.
• Create and update digital assets for websites, product pages, and online channels.
• Support ongoing website maintenance and content updates.
• Design layouts, banners, and visual elements aligned with brand guidelines.
• Perform quality assurance on creative deliverables.
• Build and maintain rapport with multidisciplinary project teams.

Requirements

• Strong design portfolio demonstrating visual, interactive, and graphic design skills.
• Ability to articulate creative ideas and contribute to brainstorming sessions.
• Understanding of information architecture, hierarchy, and web interactivity.
• Acute attention to detail and aptitude for quick creative thinking.
• Must be able to work from the Calgary office at least 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary education or certification in a related field.
• Proficiency in Figma, Photoshop, Adobe XD, or Sketch.
• Experience with digital design and UX.
• Motion graphics experience for web and video.
