What you will do

• Serve as the primary technical link between the factory and global field operations, diagnosing system-level failures remotely and on-site.
• Conduct failure analyses on field-returned equipment to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Author technical documentation, including procedures, troubleshooting guides, and technical bulletins.
• Deliver instructional training on system integration, start-up, operation, and maintenance to customers and field engineers.
• Represent the product support perspective in cross-functional forums such as Design Reviews and FMEA sessions to improve reliability.
• Collect and analyze field failure data to identify trends and drive actions that reduce system downtime.

Requirements

• BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Process Engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in field service or technical support for vacuum and electromechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel at least 30%, both internationally and domestically.
• Working knowledge of ion beam and deposition theories (IBD, IBE, CVD, PVD, DLC).
• Hands-on diagnostic ability across vacuum systems and electrical subsystems.
• Familiarity with SAP or comparable ERP systems for service order management.
