Salary: $91,100 - $146,000

What you will do

• Design and develop high-quality software architecture for applications on the mainframe platform.
• Build, test, and debug functional software solutions using Assembler to modernize enterprise products.
• Collaborate with product management and engineering teams in an Agile environment to define requirements.
• Automate repetitive tasks through scripting and appropriate tools to increase efficiency.
• Lead engineering excellence initiatives to promote code quality and reduce technical debt.

Requirements

• Proven Mainframe knowledge and proficiency in IBM Assembler Language (HLASM).
• Familiarity with the z/OS Operating system.
• Proficiency in Metal C (or PL/X) and JCL.
• Experience with source control systems such as Endevor or ISPW.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience or Master's degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Plano, TX office.

Nice to have

• Experience with CA 1 Flexible Storage, Vtape, DASD Storage Management, DFSMS, Allocate, DFShsm, or DFSrmm.
• Experience with online z/OS debuggers like XDC or SLD.
• Proficiency in scripting languages.
