What you will do
- Design, deploy, and maintain hardware and firmware for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) test jigs.
- Execute comprehensive test plans for firmware deployments, including system, regression, and low-power evaluations.
- Perform signal-level diagnosis and debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, spectrum analyzers, and function generators.
- Develop and maintain automated test workflows triggered by Continuous Integration (CI).
- Produce detailed test reports and procedures in compliance with ISO 9001 and ISO 13485.
- Partner with hardware, firmware, and cloud teams to root-cause issues and confirm fixes.
Requirements
- 6+ years of professional test engineering experience in embedded systems.
- Proficiency in Python or similar scripting languages for test automation.
- Experience designing 2–4 layer PCBs in Altium or equivalent software.
- Hands-on experience with lab equipment for hardware-level diagnostics.
- Working knowledge of AWS IoT, AWS CloudWatch, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Must be based in or be able to work onsite in Annapolis, MD.
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS Lambda, RF testing, or environmental stress testing.
- Ability to operate 3D printers and light-duty CNC machinery for prototype fabrication.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001 / ISO 13485).
- Understanding of Agile workflows for firmware development.
