What you will do

• Conduct economic research and analysis leveraging first-party behavioral data and external datasets.
• Publish benchmark reports and data-driven insights to shape public understanding of family dynamics.
• Serve as the company's public spokesperson on consumer mobility and family behavior trends.
• Develop repeatable seasonal adjustment frameworks and methodologies for retail and food service trends.
• Build a pipeline of data PR narratives tailored for economic, consumer, and financial press.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Data teams to optimize infrastructure for storytelling ROI.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Demography, or a related quantitative field (PhD preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in applied economics, specifically in consumer behavior or mobility analytics.
• Proven experience publishing data-driven narratives for non-academic audiences (media, investors).
• Practical knowledge of seasonal adjustment techniques such as X-13 or STL.
• Ability to use AI coding agents and automated analysis tools to multiply operational impact.
• Must be based in the United States.

Nice to have

• Previous experience at data PR-forward organizations like Zillow, Square, or CB Insights.
• Deep familiarity with mobility data challenges, including panel bias and dwell time definitions.
• Proficiency in SQL with the ability to optimize high-performance queries.
• Experience establishing a data storytelling function from the ground up.
