Salary: $133,500 – $190,050

What you will do

• Develop and improve design criteria, standards, and requirements for reactor cores, fluid systems, and electronics.
• Provide peer review and approval of hardware designs during design reviews.
• Guide engineering teams through the design process, ensuring adherence to standards and verification methodologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive optimized designs and shepherd them through testing and part release.
• Ensure hardware and concepts of operation meet all technical and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Undergraduate degree in engineering.
• 2+ years of full-time experience in design, analysis, or testing of complex hardware.
• Applied understanding of requirement derivation, negotiation, and verification.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship and comply with U.S. export controls.
• Experience with product design processes, including defining systems, interfaces, and specifications.

Nice to have

• Advanced degree in an engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of professional experience in design, analysis, test, or manufacturing.
• Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, Jama, or Flow.
• Familiarity with structural, thermal, and fluid systems.
